Magnetic Sensing: New Developments and Advancements

The International Summer School focuses on magnetic sensing and integrates fundamental concepts, state-of-the-art research, and emerging applications in biomedical and biological contexts. It is designed for STEM students and early-career researchers with backgrounds in physics, engineering, materials science, medicine, and related disciplines.

The application period for the Summer School has now closed. All applicants have been notified.

  • Additional offer: Visit to InnoQuarter on September 12

    We will offer a visit to the technology and innovation center InnoQuarter in Itzehoe on September 12.

    On Saturday, September 12, 2026, the Itzehoe Innovation Quarter will host an Open Day from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. More than 20 companies, startups, and institutions will open their doors, offering insights into innovative technologies, research, and business ideas. Visitors can explore the campus, meet experts and entrepreneurs, enjoy interactive activities, and choose from a variety of food trucks. You can find more information about the program on the InnoQuarter website.

    We will provide a shuttle service from Kiel to Itzehoe in the morning. In the afternoon, shuttle services will be available back to Kiel and to Hamburg for participants who plan to continue their journey home from Hamburg.

     

  • Abstract Resubmission

    All accepted authors are kindly asked to check whether their submitted abstracts comply with our abstract template. If any adjustments are required, please revise and resubmit your abstract via our participants information form by July 15 (link sent by e-mail).

  • Poster Presentations

    For the poster sessions, we kindly ask all accepted authors to prepare an A0 poster in portrait orientation. We do not provide a template for the posters.

    You may either print and bring your poster to the Summer School yourself or make use of our printing service. If you would like us to print your poster, please send us the PDF file by September 1, 2026, at 12:00 noon (German time). We will arrange the printing for you.
